Going to work today I noticed that I loved the scent of dew off of grass or just in the air. Just after dawn (a really rare time for me to be up voluntarily but ya know work) when the light is just starting to get to the point that nobody needs headlights and traffic starts getting going. I noticed that the crisp or moist smell almost like you get after it rains is rather pleasant. Then I got on the bus to work and I got the scent of other peoples makeup. Not too strong but the light perfumery scent mixed with the mustiness of people and general dust of peoples passing. It wasn’t entirely unpleasant, just contrasting. Then when I got off of the bus their was the smell of concrete, dust, people’s passing, and a very light smell of grease from all the cars but the strongest smell was the concrete and it’s natural wetness from morning dew. That was pleasant. I rarely pay attention to my nose as I don’t have a strong sense of smell but I did today.
I wonder how many people don’t use their nose except to smell food. It is interesting. I must be on an observation kick lately. Maybe next time touch. That is always an important sense. Both for Thermal senses and for textures. More Later.
Maybe.
