Well, I started the Primary on the lime mead. Same as my first batch, right up to forgetting to take gravity measurements before to check the alcohol content. Ah well, whiped it up on Saturday, 17th. Expecting 2 weeks for the primary fermenting time. I have 3 batches in carboys now. I hope it is only a month or two for bottling the Blueberry and strawberry meads. But as I may need to back sweeten it a bit, I doubt it. So by mid june or July, I will have 4 batches in carboys. Hmm, now I am expecting the current batches to be bottled in fall, in time for a Pumpkin mead. I may have one spare carboy, I was thinking a Cranberry Mead or maybe even Pear Nutmeg mead. It is slightly past pear season. Hmm, possibly juice it and save the juice for the time. I am more comfortable with Juice or fruit puree than just chopping it up. I think juice works best. I think I might do it in the secondary again. Hopefully by summer next year I will have 3-4 finshed 5 gallon batches.
